The Story:
Rikshospitalet kitchen is tasked with serving meals to staff and patients in Oslo’s biggest hospital. In such an important facility, the kitchen is under constant assessment to ensure that microbial counts and contamination are kept to a minimum, purely for the safety of the people it serves.
The staff previously implemented a wet cleaning SOP where the main pedestrian and wheeled traffic entrances/exits were disinfected using a foam solution. This was seen as time consuming, expensive and posed possible dangers to employee health and safety. Dycem was introduced as a solution to provide better efficiency at a more effective price, and being a dry solution, help improve employee health and safety. Dycem was installed into the pedestrian and wheeled traffic entrances, with the pedestrian entrance being a dual toned install, highlighting a clean and dirty side where staff were able to visually see where outside and inside apparel must be worn.
Solution:
- CZ02 WorkZone installed to replace existing wet cleaning SOP
- Dual tone CZ01 CleanZone installation at pedestrian entrance to create visual dirty/clean areas
